Were all going to have so much fun and learn so much. It is crazy what your child or you can learn at TDS in 1 year. I have seen kids go from beginners to high intermediate dancers in less than 1 year. It all depends on the right instructor, correct tech and personal drive. Here at The Dance Studio it is all possible.

We hope that all of you in the Tri-City area come into TDS so we can show you around our amazing Facility. There are other dance studio’s in the area but NONE that even come close to this facility, teaching staff and do not forget our NEW Fitness GYM and Dancewear Boutique. All under one roof. No need to go any where else for any of your fitness/Dance needs. Come in and try a class or two and see what suits you (just fill out registration form and pay a $25 yearly registration fee).

for this big event. When Dawn Castaneda, Manager of the Elk’s theatre, went looking for dancers for this show,she was told by many in town that the dancers at TDS were the only pre-professional dancers to use for this event  because of their technique and professionalism.

TDS is so looking forward to a wonderful show and the opportunity to present yet another example of how good the students are at The Dance Studio.

Prescott has other dance studio’s in town, but none on a scale of TDS . Our facility was built for a dance studio which sets us apart from the other studios, but the facility is just as important , if not more important. Here at TDS we have raised marley sprung floors (www.stagestep.com)  for the prevention of injury to you or your child, the very best in dance & gym equipment, the space to be able to execute dance steps correctly and now a brand new Fitness gym and Dancewear Boutique for your convenience… Come in and we will show you around

While your child takes a dance class upstairs you or your other child (13 yrs and over) could be involved with a one-on-one Fitness program downstairs in our brand new FITNESS CENTER.  Equipped with BodySolid workout equipment (www.badysolid.com).

Kill two birds with one stone! It will be offered to any dance studio member

to either add to their dance program or to any non-dancer to help them build a proper workout program. Set up your one-on-one personal training program starting in August 2010. Now you do not have to find two facilities for dance and fitness….

RhythMotion Performing company just got back from a 5 days cruise on the Carnival paradise for our Celebrity Nationals

Dance Competition. Everyone that attended had such BLAST!!!!! All the group numbers did an amazing job and took many Gold and High Gold awards.

These dancers were such a great representation  for our Prescott Community of Dance. Everyone on the ship was saying what awesome dancers they were and we made so many new friends and added family members to the TDS Family.

We give  a special congrats to Rachael Bunch who won 3rd overall for her “You Had Time” Contemporary Solo and our very own “Toxie” group contemporary

number from Courtney Wagner  that received 3rd overall for Duo/Trio category. Rachael Bunch also recieved a scholarship award to attend “Steps on Broadway” and take classes to continue her dance journey. They saw such potential in her to give her this award!! Go Rachael

Sadie Posey work extremely hard all week on her Star Awards Title competition. She was 1 of 8 dancers selected from over 60 applicants to compete in this prestigious  Title Competition. She had to write a dance essay to even be considered for this competition. Then she was sent a dance DVD to learn a number prior to boarding the ship, perform in front of a panel of judges two by two, and be interviewed by all judges. She did an amazing job and should be applauded for her hard work that week. You rock Sadie!!!! She will try out again next year and take it all!!!!!

Donna Casey presented a contemporary piece entitled “The River” in the celebrity CREATE  division. This is a competition for the Choreographers. It is judged

on the creation of the piece and how well it fits with the vision of the choreographer. All of the judges really like the piece and it got rave reviews for all judges.

All and all the week was not only a huge success for all dancers that participated, but for the friendships that were made with all dancers and parents. This trip brought all of us much closer to one another. Which I did not think was possible. The TDS Family continues to bring the Tri-City area the most qualified dance instruction, fun filled atmosphere and a performing company that continues to set goals and achieve them

The TDS dancers and Spotlight theatre group will be performing at the Re-Opening of the Elk’s Theatre on Saturday July 24th. They will be performing a Nutcracker Vignette along with the Phoenix Opera Company. Yet another wonderful opportunity for The Dance Studio to present its pre-professional company.

We look forward to a long partnership with these wonderful people and their beautiful Theatre. Donna Casey (TDS Owner) will be working with all of the spotlight Theatre members to make their two annual productions at The Elk’s a success. “I just love the Theatre and I have been away from it for many years, it will be like welcoming back an old friend into my life” stated Casey.

What a exciting opportunity for work with all of these Theatre members and also Dawn and wthe whole Elk’s Theatre clan
