MTV TV Production “MADE”

MTV has been at The Dance Studio for the past 4 or 5 weeks filming an upcoming episode of the TV show entitled “MADE”. It has been such an amazing experience for myself, my staff and all of our students. Laura Crow will be presenting her solo peice in our annual holiday show on Dec 16th & 17th. Hope you all come out to support Laura in her journey in becoming a Modern dancer.

TDS and RhythMotion Performing Company will present our annual Christmas production on Friday and Saturday Dec 16th & 17th, 2011. It will be held at the historic Elk’s Opera House at 6pm. Tickets can be purchased online at www.elksoperahouse.com for $15. We hope to see all of you at this holiday event. This is a fantastic story for young and old. There are many many Christmas dance numbers from ages 3 yrs through 80. This show offers something for everyone.

New Ballet Mistress…Nicole Romine Starts Ballet classes on Nov 29th, 2011

The Dance Studio is so pleased to announce that Miss Nicole Romine will take over the TDS Ballet program on
Tuesday November 29th, 2011. She will offer Ballet classes on Tuesday 4:45-6:16 and pointe’ Tuesday 6:15-7:15 and Thursdays 6:45-8:15 for a Advanced Ballet and Variations Class from Nov 289th through Dec 21st, 2011.

Starting on January 2nd, 2011, Nicole will be teaching Monday Through Thursday for many different Ballet, Pointe’ and Variations Classes. See Second Semester..Jan, 2012 Tab under Information for Miss Nicole’s weekly schedule and financials.

She is AWESOME!

All inter/advanced dancers from all over should take all of these classes.

Its $100 for all 6 classes or $20 hr class or $22 1 1/2 hr class.

Chapter # 36 - Dance Masters of Arizona

Dance Masters of Arizona Chapter # 36 is an association of dance educators, certified by examination, who’s main focus is advancing the art of dance and improving the practice of its teaching. Our parent organization, Dance Masters of America, is an International Educational Dance Teachers Organization that has served the dance community for more than a century. The Dance Masters of Arizona offer workshops, master classes, training sessions and so much more for both teachers and students.

The Dance Masters of Arizona also sponsor dance competitions throughout the year. Qualifying members will have the opportunity to compete in National Scholarship Competitions sponsored by The Dance Masters of America and others. Events include Solo Title Scholarship Competitions, Scholarship Auditions, Performing Arts Competitions and our PAC Grand National Scholarship Competition for member’s students

TDS DANCEWEAR BOUTIQUE

The Dance Studio is one of the few studios in the town of Prescott that offers a Dancewear Boutique right inside the doors. We have all the essential dance wear like: tap shoes, jazz shoes, ballet shoes, tights, leotards, bags, tutus, sweatpants, books, and foot thongs. If we don’t have what you need in stock we can order it and have it in the Boutique and waiting for you in as little as 10 days. The Boutique is open all the same hours as the studio and you get the chance to try things on, unlike ordering it online. Why find something online and order a size you think is right only to end up finding out it doesn’t fit? Come by the Boutique and check out the amazing selection of dance wear needs to help you or your dancer get in class faster.

THE GYM- PERSONAL TRAINING

The Dance Studio has it all under one roof!!! Why go any where else for you DANCE & FITNESS? We not only have the finest dance PROGRAM, best qualified teaching staff, but now we have added a FITNESS CENTER to OUR program.

While your child takes a dance class upstairs you or your other child (13 yrs and over) could be involved with A personal Training Fitness Program downstairs in our FITNESS CENTER. Equipped with BodySolid workout equipment (www.bodysolid.com).

Kill two birds with one stone! It will be offered to any dance studio member to either add to their dance program or to any non-dancer to help them build a proper workout program. Set up your Personal Training Program today, by coming by the studio or calling our Personal Trainer. Michael Galloway is the Personal Trainer of The Dance Studio, he is certified and loves what he does. You can contact him at 928-925-1782 and set up an hour personal training session for only $25 Hr, or come by the studio to take a look at our Program.

Starting in the fall THE GYM will be open for adults (18 yrs and older) on Tuesday and Thursday from 3-6 for free work out time on the equipment. You MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER to work out in THE GYM alone during these times. You MUST have a family member, or yourself, who is registered at the studio taking classes during the current year.

Why waste time bringing your child to dance then racing off to the gym only to have to turn around and race back in time to pick up your kid, when you could just walk downstairs and have a personal training program at your finger tips.

SNOW DAY SCHEDULE

Remember;

If Prescott Unified School District closes the schools for SNOW, then The Dance Studio

will also be CLOSED. If you are ever in doubt, just phone the studio 928-771-9222, there will

be a message for that day. If the district calls a snow day, then just go out and enjoy yourself in the SNOW!!!!

RhythMotion Performing Company

The RhythMotion Performing Company competes all over the state of Arizona during the dance year. They start training during the first week of dance to prepare for their upcoming competitions. Here at TDS we are so very proud of them for striving to be the very BEST at their craft and accomplishing that everyday. Last year the RhythMotion company received PLATINUM on one of their dances, “The River.” This year we hope to strive for that same goal and continue to have fun while achieving it.

All the girls in this years 2011-2012 RhythMotion company tried out at the end out May. 15 girls made it onto our company. They all shared the glory of having a fantastic sleepover with the 2010-2011 RhythMotion company. In just one night out endless fun the girls grew into a family. The 2011-2012 company girls will continue to grow in both dance and with each other starting in August. They will compete in 3 competitions next year and will dance, just to dance, at TDS winter show, end of the year production, and at many events in the tri-city.

We hope this year will be just as amazing or even top the years past, with our new RhythMotion Performing Company girls!!
