Marina Ragova


Marina Ragove/Ballroom/Social Master Teacher

Marina Rogova is a gifted dancer, performer, teacher and choreographer. She is an expert of International Style Ballroom and Latin American dancing.

Born in Ukraine, she has been dancing most her life. Starting a career as a folk and ballet dancer at the age of 6 with the National Ukrainian Folk Dance Company, she continued as a student, active performer and then a soloist with the Kiev Ballroom Dance Ensemble “Promenad” at the National University of Arts. There she has been studying theory, practice and teaching methods of classical and modern dance, ballroom dance (International Style), ballet, choreography and theatrics. Meanwhile, she was a participant and laureate of the local and international ballroom dance contests in 10 dances program, was qualified as a Master class dancer and earned an Associates of Arts Degree.

Also, Marina has earned her Bachelor in Psychology and Master Degrees in Teaching from National Pedagogical University in Kiev.  From 1995 to 2001 she was a ballroom dance teacher and choreographer at the Center of Culture and Arts in Kiev, Ukraine. Marina’s students take prize-winning places in all-Ukrainian contests of ballroom dance and take part in international contests.

After Marina has moved to the USA, she continued her studies and dance experience. Marina took classes of jazz, tap, ballet at the Yavapai College and performed with The Dance Studio in Prescott. Also, she got certified as a Zumba fitness Instructor. Currently, Marina continues to teach, passionately dedicates her time reaching out to young and adult dancers. Marina guest teaches Master classes, teaches ballet, jazz, Latin dance and Zumba at the Yavapai College, and is proud to serve as a new member of the faculty at the Dance Studio in Prescott, AZ.
